Sanrachna (Bridge modelling contest)

A bridge modelling event was conducted on 17^th March 2023 in Hardware Lab on TechFest name “TechnoMela” was conducted. In this event the participants have to make a model of the bridge from the materials provided. Total 7 teams registered for the event, but 5 teams were participated in the event.

Three Judges named Dr. (Prof.) Harwinder Singh and Dr. (Prof.) Jagbir Singh were the present for the judgement of the submissions made by the participants. Three finalists’ teams were selected on the basis of several parameters like: Creativity, Aesthetics and Load sustained.

Techno Plot

Techno Plot

A technical design type event was on 16^th of March 2023 in Computational Lab on Techfest named TechnoMela was conducted. It was a one round event, where the participants have to design a 2D House of size 35’ x 80’ in any CAD software weather using their personal laptop or mobile or by using the computers available in Computational lab. Three finalists were selected on the basis of several parameters like: Requirements, extra facilities, Aesthetics and Properly labelled.

Total 35 students from several departments registered for the event and 12 students show up for the event and successful submitted their designs on a Google form. Three Judges named Dr. (Prof) Harwinder Singh, Prof. Manvinder Kingra and Prof. Yuvraj Singh were the present for the judgement of the submissions made by the participants.

Participants will have to come in a Team of 2-4 members.

Participation E-Certificates will be provided

Rules: -

There has to be 2 minimum and a maximum of 4 members in a team.
The performance has to be silent with no words.
The player has to use facial expressions, gestures, and body language.
Clues like lip-reading, humming songs, pointing to an object, and making spelling with hands are banned.
Language, the number of words, and the age of the film must be said at first (only in guestures).
There is a particular time limit for teams to guess the movie.
Teams have to alter until every player has acted once(max 4 guests per team).
Scores are recorded for every correct answer and one point if the opposite team fails to guess within the allotted time.

Event Report: -

The Association of Civil Engineering Students (ACES) organized an event named “Dumbsharas”. As evident from the name, it was an offline fun event and was conducted on 16th March 2022. It had 100+ registrations. Students were appointed as disciplined in charge to maintain the decorum, and it was a successful event with the Final participation of 45 students in 12 teams. The event started at 3:30 pm and continued till 04:30 PM as per the rules of the game.

Article Writing Contest

An online article writing event was organized by the Association of Civil Engineering Students from 12th September to 16th September 2021. The event was led and executed successfully under the able guidance of Prof.Yuvraj Singh .

The event was a part of one of the various technical and social events organized by ACES. These events are organized from time to time with the objective to provide a platform for the students to showcase their talent with a competitive spirit.

The event was successful enough to attract as many as 40+ registrations. The themes for the event included sustainable engineering, automation in engineering, road safety, and traffic management, and recent advances in engineering.

The winners were encouraged with a certificate, trophies and were given the chance to become a part of the college’s newsletter editor board. The participants were also given certificates as a token of encouragement.

In this situation of pandemic Association of civil engineering students (ACES) organized a virtual Quiz competition named “EK CHATUR”. It was a three-round event, conducted on 26^thAugust,2021. The event was conducted using Google form (timed quiz) where all participated in a mind refreshing quiz competition with great enthusiasm. Total registrations were 88.

The first round ‘Chalak Chatur’ held from 4:00 PM to 4:16 PM. The second round ‘Mysterious Chatur’ held from 4:20 PM to 4:41 PM. The third round ‘Intelligent Chatur’ was conducted from 4:45 PM to 5:05 PM. The results were declared at 8 PM on the ACES official Instagram (@gndec_aces) The winners were decided according to the maximum total marks in three rounds of quiz and the minimum time taken to attempt all three quizes.
